If your WordPress site is hosted elsewhere, we'll move it for you, free. We copy your site to a private test URL so you can try it on our servers before you commit to anything. Your live site stays online and untouched the whole time, and you only choose a plan once you're happy with what you see.
How a migration works

Send us a migration request with your site's address. No account or payment needed — we'll only ask for site access once you decide to go ahead.
Within two business days, we set up a complete copy of your site on our servers, on a temporary URL. This doesn’t touch your live site, which stays online and unchanged throughout.
Explore your migrated site at your own pace, compare it against your current host, and make sure everything works the way you expect. Nothing is charged during this period, and you're under no obligation.
Happy with it? Choose a plan and make one change at your registrar to point your domain to us — we give you the exact settings and walk you through it.
What we'll need from you
To build your test copy, we need access to your current WordPress site. For your security, we never ask for passwords through a form or by email. When you're ready to proceed, we'll ask you to create a temporary administrator account for us (using migration@modhost.com), which you can remove as soon as the migration is complete. For unusual setups, we can work from a migration plugin key or a secure file transfer instead.
Most migrations are ready within two business days. Larger or more complex sites with custom configurations, or unusual third-party integrations may take a little longer, and we'll tell you in advance if anything about your migration falls outside what we can assist with.
